About HELP-4H
HELP-4H is a cationic cell penetrating peptide (CPP) that can be used as nucleic acid delivery system across cell membranes (transfection). HELP stands for Helical Erythrocyte Lysing Peptide and 4H indicates that His residues have replaced Glu to optimize it pH dependency. HELP-4H is a derivate of melittin, is able to form an a-helix and is used as a carrier able to deliver different nucleic acids into mammalian cells.
