Specimen and Container Info

Specimen Type: Random Urine (Second-Morning Void)

Collection Container: Plastic Urine Container (Preservative Free) 

Desired Specimen Volume: 20 mL

Collection Instructions
  1. Collect random urine (second-morning void) in a plastic urine container (preservative free).
  2.  When monitoring therapy, baseline samples should be collected prior to initiation of therapy. 
  3. Subsequent specimens should be collected at the same time of day as baseline specimens.
Processing and Submission Instructions
  1. Submit 20 mL of random urine (second-morning void) in the original collection container.

Values obtained with different assay methods should not be used interchangeably in serial testing. It is recommended that only one assay method be used consistently to monitor each patient's course of therapy.
