The HA-tag is a peptide tag derived from the influenza hemagglutinin (HA), which allows the virus to target and enter host cells. The HA tag is commonly included in the production of recombinant proteins and can be used to identify protein-protein interactions or to detect protein expression by immunoprecipitation or Western blot. Described by Field et al. Mol Cell Biol. 1988. This peptide is biotinylated at the N-terminus.
