Third-party testing removes the conflict of interest inherent in a supplier testing their own product. Look for: the name of the analytical laboratory (not the peptide supplier), an accreditation statement (ISO 17025 accreditation for the testing laboratory), and a report reference number that could theoretically be traced back to the lab.
- Many reputable research peptide suppliers use third-party labs; some conduct in-house testing with publication of laboratory credentials. Either can be acceptable, but third-party testing is the gold standard for research-grade materials.
