A 0.3-point improvement on the FSFI desire domain (which has a range of 1.2 to 6.0) and a 25% responder rate versus 17% placebo means that roughly 1 in 8 women treated will experience meaningful benefit attributable to the drug. That doesn't make it ineffective. It means sexual desire is a complex, multifactorial phenomenon that no single receptor agonist can fully address. Realistic expectations matter: bremelanotide is a tool for a specific subset of women with HSDD, not a universal solution.
