Reconstitution

What you need

•Bacteriostatic water (if using injectable form)

•Insulin syringes (29-31 gauge) for injection

•Alcohol swabs for cleaning

•Oral tablets/capsules don't require reconstitution

Example

For injectable form: If you have a 10mg vial and add 2mL of bacteriostatic water, you get 5mg/mL concentration. Each 0.1mL (10 units) equals 500mcg of SLU-PP-332.

For a 500mcg dose at 5mg/mL: draw 0.1mL (10 units on a standard insulin syringe). For 1000mcg: draw 0.2mL (20 units).

Technique

1.Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water

Storage

Before reconstitution

Store powder or tablets at room temperature (59-77°F / 15-25°C) in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration extends shelf life. Keep in original sealed container with desiccant if provided.

After reconstitution

If using injectable form, refrigerate at 36-46°F (2-8°C). Never freeze. Keep away from light. Oral forms should remain at room temperature in original packaging.
