Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our practice, services, and membership model.

Do you take insurance?

We are a direct-pay practice, which means we do not bill insurance. This model allows us to spend more time with each patient and provide truly personalized care without insurance restrictions.

Many patients find that our membership pricing is comparable to or less than traditional copays and deductibles.

Why don't you accept patients with Medicare or Medicaid?

Federal regulations prohibit direct primary care practices from seeing Medicare and Medicaid patients under our DPC model. This is a regulatory limitation, not a choice we make. We hope that future legislation will allow us to serve these patients.

Do you offer 'All Inclusive' programs?

No. We do not bundle labs, medications, supplements, and visits into a single flat fee. Your membership covers consultations, program management, prescribing, and ongoing care. Labs, medications, supplements, and imaging are billed separately at transparent cash pay rates with zero markup on medications.

All-inclusive clinics fold everything into one monthly fee, which means low-dose patients subsidize high-dose patients and every lab or medication ordered comes out of the clinic's profit. Our model removes that conflict of interest, your provider can order what you actually need without a financial reason to compress your care. Read more on how it works.

Why Membership?

The membership model allows for proactive, preventive care rather than reactive sick care. It gives you direct access to your provider, longer appointments, and a truly personalized approach to optimizing your health.

Can you treat patients outside of Washington state?

Currently, our providers are licensed to practice in Washington state only. All telehealth patients must be located within Washington state at the time of their appointment.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. We offer real-time audio-visual telehealth visits for patients anywhere in Washington state. Many of our follow-up appointments and check-ins are conducted via telehealth for your convenience.

What weight loss medications do you offer?

GLP-1 medications: Semaglutide (Ozempic/Wegovy) and Tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound), prescribed and monitored by an Asymmetric Health clinician.

Treatment starts low and titrates up gradually, with your provider adjusting the plan at follow-ups based on your labs, how you tolerate it, and how you respond.

Because Asymmetric Health has zero markup on medications, you pay exactly what the pharmacy charges us. Learn more on the weight loss page.
