Reconstitution Protocol

Step 1: Calculate Volume

Use our Peptide Calculator to determine:

Amount of bacteriostatic water needed

Desired concentration (mg/mL)

Dosing volumes for your research

Step 2: Prepare Workspace

Clean work surface with 70% isopropyl alcohol

Wash hands thoroughly

Wear disposable gloves

Allow vials to reach room temperature before opening

Step 3: Reconstitute

Wipe both vial tops (peptide and BAC water) with alcohol swab

Draw calculated volume of bacteriostatic water into syringe

Inject water slowly down the inside wall of the peptide vial — not directly onto powder

Allow water to gently run down; do not force spray

Let sit for 1 minute without agitating

Gently swirl (do not shake) until fully dissolved

Do not use if solution remains cloudy or particulate after 5 minutes

Step 4: Storage

Label vial with: peptide name, concentration, date, initials

Store at 4°C (refrigerator)

Discard after 30 days

Required Records

Lot numbers: Document for all peptides used

Reconstitution date: Track 30-day expiration

Concentration: mg/mL for calculations

Storage conditions: Temperature logs

Visual inspection: Note clarity and particulate
