OVA peptide is a class I (Kb)-restricted peptide epitope of ovalbumin, it is presented by the class I MHC (major histocompatibility complex) molecule, H-2Kb.

OVA 257-264 can be applied to detect the strong CD8+ cytolytic T cell response.

OVA 323-339 has an allergenic and antigenic epitope of the ovalbumin protein, it binds to I-A(d) MHC class II protein. OVA 323-339 is applied to study the characteristic of class II MHC-peptide binding and T-cell activation.
