The monthly cost of a research peptide depends on more than the vial price. To compare peptide cost per month accurately, you need to know how much material is in the vial, the price per mg, the selected research amount, the selected cadence, whether the listing has a verified COA, and whether the monthly estimate accounts for whole-vial purchasing.

That is why a low sticker price can be misleading. A $16 vial can be more expensive than a $31 vial after you compare price per mg. A larger vial can cost more upfront but less per month. And the cheapest unfiltered option may change once you filter for listings with a Certificate of Analysis.

In this example, the Swiss Chems vial looks cheaper at first because it is about half the price. But after normalizing by total mg, the smaller vial is about 2.6× more expensive per mg. That is why the first question should not be, "Which vial is cheapest?" A better question is: "What am I paying per mg, and how does that affect the estimated monthly cost?"

Sometimes two listings have almost the same sticker price, but one contains much more material.

These two listings are only $0.21 apart in vial price, but one contains double the material. That creates a 2× difference in price per mg. This is the type of comparison that is easy to miss when manually checking vendor pages.
