Hims & Hers Health Inc. has acquired a California-based manufacturing facility to expand its range of peptide treatments, including those from weight loss to muscle recovery.
Over the past few years, the telehealth company has built a $14.5 billion business selling lower-cost, unbranded versions of popular medications like Viagra. Last year, it bought a US-based compounding pharmacy, enabling it to produce in-house versions of Novo Nordisk A/S’s blockbuster weight-loss shot Wegovy. The new facility will give Hims the ability to make copies of drugs like Wegovy from start to finish.
