Elderly Precautions

Hepatic-Elderly with hepatic dysfunction or decreased hepatic blood flow may have elevated serum concentrations of nicardipine. Follow blood pressure closely. Gastrointestinal-May cause constipation or exacerbation of pre-existing constipation. Cardiovascular-May cause peripheral edema in the elderly.
