It also appears to support angiogenesis and counteract the negative effects of corticosteroids on healing.¹ However, despite over two decades of preclinical research, there is a paucity of clinical trials evaluating its use for musculoskeletal injuries in humans, and it remains unapproved for medical use by regulatory bodies.² Collagen peptides do have human clinical data.
