Nona-D-Arginine - D-(Arg)9 - or D-polyarginine is the D-amino acid version of (Arg)9. It is a cationic cell penetrating peptide (CPP) used as cargo delivery system across cell membranes and to study intracellular processes. Arginine-rich CPPs such as (Arg)9 do not pass through the lipid membrane but instead passively enter cells by inducing membrane multilamellarity and fusion.
